What is Barracuda BRBL

The Barracuda Reputation Block List (b.barracudacentral.org) is mainly queried by corporate mail gateways and small-to-medium ISPs. It doesn't have the reach of Spamhaus on Gmail/Outlook, but if you sell to businesses with their own corporate filters, this list can block your emails.

Common listing causes

  • Sudden high sending volume from a new or rarely used IP
  • Spam complaints reported by real recipients
  • Contact lists with invalid addresses or spam traps
  • Misconfigured mail server acting as an open relay

Step 1: Check your listing

Check your IP directly at barracudacentral.org/rbl/removal-request — you can see right there whether you're listed before filling out the form.

Step 2: Fix the cause

⚠️ Same as with any serious blacklist: if you don't fix the root problem (active spam, dirty contact list, open relay), Barracuda can relist you shortly after approving your removal.

Step 3: Fill out the official form

At barracudacentral.org/rbl/removal-request, enter your IP and a brief description of the fix you made. You don't need extensive evidence like with Spamhaus — Barracuda's process is more direct.

Response time

Barracuda typically responds within 12 to 24 hours after submitting the form.
