What is Abusix Mail Intelligence

Abusix aggregates real-time threat intelligence from spam traps, abuse reports, and automated analysis. It can list IPs, entire domains, subdomains, short URLs, or even hosted images used in spam campaigns.

Step 1: Identify exactly what's listed

Before acting, confirm at lookup.abusix.com whether what's listed is your IP, your root domain, a specific subdomain, or a tracking/image URL. The type of item listed determines what you need to fix.

Step 2: Fix the real source

  • Pause the affected sending (campaign, form, transactional flow)
  • Remove invalid or problematic recipients from your lists
  • Disable URLs or images being abused
  • Rotate credentials if an account or API key was compromised
⚠️ Important: Abusix requires the cause to be resolved before delisting. If you request removal before stopping the problem, spam will keep hitting their traps and your IP/domain will be relisted immediately.

Step 3: Request removal

From lookup.abusix.com, follow the delisting flow. It requires registration and authentication to verify the request comes from the actual owner of the domain/IP, not a third party.

Propagation time

Abusix's zones rebuild every minute. If you request removal directly from their site, the change reflects within a maximum of 5 minutes. If some provider copies their lists for local use, it can take up to 15 minutes.

💡 If you don't see the change within that time, Abusix recommends contacting their support directly via chat on their site, rather than resubmitting the request.
