Migrate WordPress to PlatiniumHost Step-by-Step

Option A — Free Migration by Support (Easiest)

Option B — Migrate Yourself with Duplicator

If you prefer to do it manually, Duplicator is the most reliable plugin for migrating WordPress.

Step 1 — On your current hosting: create the package

1. Install the "Duplicator" plugin on your current WordPress site
2. Go to Duplicator → Packages → Create New
3. Follow the wizard to create the package
4. Download the 2 generated files: installer.php and the .zip file

Step 2 — On PlatiniumHost: prepare the destination

1. Create an empty MySQL database in PlatiniumHost's cPanel
2. Note down: database name, user, and password
3. Upload the 2 downloaded files to public_html via FileZilla or File Manager

Step 3 — Run the installer

1. Go to yourdomain.com/installer.php in your browser
2. Accept the terms and click "Next"
3. Enter PlatiniumHost's database details
4. In the URL field, type the new URL of your site
5. Click "Next" and wait for it to finish

Step 4 — Update the nameservers

Once you verify that the site works on PlatiniumHost, change your domain's nameservers to ns1.platiniumhost.com and ns2.platiniumhost.com.
