Size Limits at PlatiniumHost
- Maximum email size: 50 MB
- Maximum individual attachment size: 50 MB
⚠️ Important: The recipient's server may have its own limits. Gmail accepts up to 25 MB and Outlook up to 20 MB. Even if your server sends 50 MB, the recipient might not receive it.
How to send larger files?
When you need to send heavy files (videos, folders, designs), the best option is to use a cloud storage service and share the link:
- Google Drive — Upload the file and share the link
- Dropbox — Ideal for folders with many files
- WeTransfer — Up to 2 GB free without an account
- OneDrive — If you use Microsoft 365
Compress files before sending
If the file is near the limit, you can compress it into .zip or .rar format to reduce its size. On Windows: right-click → Compress to ZIP file. On Mac: right-click → Compress.
???? Best practice: For files larger than 10 MB, always use a Drive or WeTransfer link. This also prevents your email from going to spam due to heavy attachments.
