Restore a Full Backup from cPanel

Available Restoration Types

  • Full Restoration: All files, databases, and emails
  • Files Only: Your website files
  • Database Only: WordPress or other app content
  • Emails Only: Messages from your email accounts

Restore from the Backup Wizard

  1. Log in to cPanel
  2. Go to Files → Backup Wizard
  3. Click "Restore"
  4. Choose what you want to restore
  5. Upload the backup file .tar.gz or .sql
  6. Click "Restore" and wait for it to finish
⚠️ Important: Restoring overwrites current content. If you only have a database issue, restore only the database to avoid losing recent file changes.

Restore PlatiniumHost Automatic Backup

All plans include daily automatic backups for 7 days. To restore one:

  1. Open a support ticket
  2. Indicate: your domain and the exact date you want to restore to
  3. Our team will restore it in less than 2 business hours

Restore Database with phpMyAdmin

  1. Log in to cPanel → phpMyAdmin
  2. Select the database in the left panel
  3. Click "Import"
  4. Select your .sql file
  5. Click "Go"
✅ Restoration completed. Verify your site in the browser to confirm everything is working correctly.
