Types of Restoration
You can restore your site in two ways depending on the situation:
- Partial Restoration: Only files, or only database, or only emails
- Full Restoration: The entire site to a previous point
Restore from cPanel (Backup Wizard)
- Log in to cPanel → Files → Backup Wizard
- Click on "Restore"
- Choose what you want to restore:
- Home Directory → All website files
- MySQL Databases → Database
- Email Forwarders → Email redirects
- Email Filters → Email filters
- Upload the backup file
.tar.gz - Click on "Restore"
⚠️ Important: Restoring overwrites current files. If the problem is only with WordPress, consider restoring only the database to avoid losing recent changes to files.
