What is Softaculous?
Softaculous is an automatic installer included in your cPanel. With it, you can install WordPress and over 400 applications with a single click, without touching any code.
Steps to Install WordPress
Step 1 — Log in to cPanel
Access your cPanel. If you don't know how, consult How to access cPanel.
Step 2 — Open Softaculous
Inside cPanel, look for the "Software" section and click on Softaculous Apps Installer. You can also search for it in the cPanel search bar.
Step 3 — Select WordPress
In Softaculous, you will see WordPress highlighted on the homepage. Click on the WordPress icon and then on the blue button "Install Now".
Step 4 — Complete the Installation Form
Configure these fields:
- Choose Protocol: Select
https:// - Choose Domain: Select your domain
- In Directory: Leave blank if you want WordPress in the root directory
- Site Name: Your website's name
- Admin Username: Choose a username (do not use "admin")
- Admin Password: Use a strong password
- Admin Email: Your email address
Step 5 — Install
Scroll down and click on "Install". In 1-2 minutes, you will see a success screen with links to your site and the WordPress dashboard.
✅ Installation complete. Access your WordPress dashboard at:
yourdomain.com/wp-admin???? Tip: Save your credentials in a secure place. Softaculous will also send them to you by email.
